Anna Torv is an actress and recording artist from Australia. She used to appear on Fox TV series Fringe<\/em> (2008-13) as Olivia Dunham, an FBI Agent. She has been in the industry since 2002.<\/p>\n Anna Torv was born (7 June 1979) in Melbourne to Susan and Hans Torv, grew up in Gold Coast, Queensland. Anna went to Benowa State High School and graduated from their in 1996. She then attended National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) in 2001 with the degree in Performing Arts.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n In 2003, Torv joined Bell Shakespeare Theatre Company and acted as Ophelia in John Bell\u2019s production of Hamlet<\/em>. In 2004, Torv joined the cast of Australian TV series The Secret Life of us<\/em>. Torv recorded audio books for some Solo Collections: Jack\u2019s Owl, Spike, Little Fingers and Maddy in the Middle by Scholastics Australia and later in 2007, she voiced for video game Heavenly Sword. She did BBC\u2019s TV series Mistress in 2008 and as an FBI Agent, Olivia Dunham in Fringe<\/em>. She got her breakthrough by acting in Fringe<\/em> and won Saturn Award 4 times for Best Television Actress, nominated for total 5 times from 2009-13. Torv portrayed Virginia Grey in mini-series The Pacific.
