South Australian Government offered loan and subsequently, federal, state and political governments were pitted against each other. Eventually CAAMA got the license from Australian Broadcasting Tribunal.<\/p>\n<p>During its span Imparja launched many channels, won awards. In 1990, it launched Imparja Local News whose studio was based in Alice Springs. In 93\u2019, audience has doubled. It was criticized in 2004 for alcohol advertisements. Imparja National News, launched in 2005, mostly covered Alice Springs News, later on sanctions were imposed to limit the local coverage. In 2o10, Australian Communications and Media Authority licensed Imparja and South Cross Central to broadcast a remote are digital channel.<\/p>\n<p>Imparja\u2019s shareholders, investors and directors are all aboriginal and supports many communities who face abuses of any kind. Yearly, it donates $30,000 to communities who fall under funding guidelines. Till now, it has donated $4, 00,000 to community programs. It broadcasts Yamba\u2019s Playtime for preschool kids.<\/p>\n<p>Imparja is currently Australia\u2019s last truly independent television network. Imparja gives full time employment to over 60 people on all stations. It receives funding and resources from Prime Minister\u2019s cabinet.
