I am writing to ask if your company ever donate second hand vehicles or have vehicles available on loan to the disadvantaged, or if you know of any companies that get drivers to drive their vehicles for advertising purposes I think it is called ‘carvertise’?

Our daughter and husband are expecting their third child in October, they live in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast. Soon after her second child was born Kath left the hospital with a partially retained placenta which caused infection demanding surgery. After her surgery an incorrect drug was given intravenously which almost killed her and left her with continued ongoing health issues. They chose not to take legal action at the time as they were just relieved to have Katharine home alive, and the process to sue was costly and the outcome not guaranteed. Negligence was admitted by the hospital and an inquiry was made into the staff concerned and the circumstances. Discipline was imposed on the nurses involved and apology was made.

Since then Kath has had multiple hospital appointments MRI scans etc and was told she couldn’t fall pregnant again due to low thyroid function, low pituitary function and cortisol levels, all induced by these errors! Their advice proved to be incorrect, as she obviously did and baby number 3 is due end October. They have accepted this outcome and due to their Christian beliefs continued with the pregnancy.

To cut a long story short Kath has been unable to resume her work as an early childhood teacher due to her health and she is still receiving treatment to try to save her thyroid and get it functioning again. This has all been an extra expense they didn’t count on. My husband and I are Aussies but we are currently living in Christchurch NZ, where my husband was posted for work. I travel back and help Kath out periodically and am going back in November to help again. Kath’s husband works long hours landscaping and has a work vehicle but Kath’s car is older and too small for 3 child seats. I know things are difficult for them financially since she has not been able to go back to work and she has battled on with a positive attitude and done an amazing job managing the family and the home. A safe and suitable vehicle would help them immensely and take some of the stress off of them financially.
This is somewhat of a necessity as Kath has hospital appointments, preschool drop offs etc. I would love to find someone to sponsor our daughter in this as I have watched her endure so much in the past year and a half. To see her (them) set up with a vehicle suited to her families needs would be an immense help and a relief. I have never asked for help like this before, hopefully it makes sense. My email is [email protected] my phone number is 0212741964. I am in NZ so the +64 is needed also. Kind Regards, Alison Harrod
